Hi! My name is Julia. Born in Russia, I've become a passionate lover of Sweden and everything about and around it. That's why I've spent half of my life studying the Swedish mentality, traditions and history... At the moment I work with various projects, some of which involve teaching Swedish, guiding in Sweden, writing books about Sweden - and that's what I'd like to share with you: my knowledge of all the secrets I've discovered so far. What makes me so different from other guides? Well, here are some examples: - I've written 3 thick travel guides over Sweden, Stockholm and Scandinavia, all of them with tons of fascinating facts - I've been guiding in Sweden since 2000 - I create excursions for various travel agencies - I give lectures about Swedish mentality and customs

  • What you will see and do

The concept of the Danish "hygge" has now conquered the world, but did you know that in Sweden we also have our "hygge", called "mys"?

Let's sit down for a cup of coffee and talk about the Swedish mentality and way of life. What are the Swedes like? What are the unwritten codes that may directly place you outside the society? What are you expected to do, and what is absolutely prohibited (though not by law)? How to interact with Swedes without embarrassing yourself? In other words, just learn how to be Swedish. : )

We'll also talk about the musts in Sweden, such as the concepts of "mys", "fika" and "lagom".

I've been studying the principles of the Swedish mentality for more than 15 years, and while doing it, I've written several articles and created some courses devoted to it. We'll talk about some serious things with a bit of humor, and probably try to compare the Swedish way with the lifestyle in your country.
