Hi! My name is Julia. Born in Russia, I've become a passionate lover of Sweden and everything about and around it. That's why I've spent half of my life studying the Swedish mentality, traditions and history... At the moment I work with various projects, some of which involve teaching Swedish, guiding in Sweden, writing books about Sweden - and that's what I'd like to share with you: my knowledge of all the secrets I've discovered so far. What makes me so different from other guides? Well, here are some examples: - I've written 3 thick travel guides over Sweden, Stockholm and Scandinavia, all of them with tons of fascinating facts - I've been guiding in Sweden since 2000 - I create excursions for travelers from all around the world. - I give lectures about Swedish mentality and customs

  • What you will see and do

Make yourself comfortable on your sofa and let me take you on an exciting trip back in time to discover the hidden treasures of the Bronze age!

We’ll take a virtual trip to the spots where the concentrations of rock carvings are among the highest ones in Sweden. We'll see the carvings in the north, in the west and in the east - a trip impossible to make during a couple of hours in reality!

Rock carvings belong to the most mysterious ancient monuments. We’ll talk about different theories on when and why the carvings appeared and try to understand what the ancestors of today’s Swedes could mean with them. Where were they placed? Is there any difference between the images in the north and in the south?

We'll be able to see the biggest Swedish rock carving found so far, and we'll try to explore the life of the people living several thousand years ago. What would they tell us about their gods and rituals, their animals and their ships?

We'll also find out what is often called the first comics in the world and why most of the rock carvings are red nowadays.

For a better and interactive experience, I'll show you lots of photos and tell you the story behind them! You can feel free to raise your hand and ask a question anytime :)

Just 1 hour - but lots of impressive facts to learn!
