My name is Stefan and I love traveling. Stockholm is my home town and where I was born and raised. I enjoy laughs and jokes a lot so those are always active ingredients in everything I set my mind to. Socializing gives me a lot of pleasure and I love inspiring people with new insights and experiences. I know what it's like to be a traveler in a new city with a hunger to see, know and understand the new destination. With this background and knowledge I'm convinced that I can provide world class service to travelers and tourists visiting this city. I give tours in and around Stockholm in English, Spanish, German and Swedish. Hope to see you soon!

  • What you will see and do

This is a unique opportunity to discover the genuine outskirts of the beautiful Stockholm Archipelago.

The trip is personally tailored to give you the richest and realest experience of the life out on the islands. With my family here I have years of experience and insights of this island and the area.
Since I was a kid I've spent my summers out in the Archipelago and Möja. This magical place is part of me and my life. It has always been special to me and I would like to share that with you!

We'll travel by ferry boat and experience a good stretch of the beautiful coastal region. After lunch on the boat we’ll arrive to the unique archipelago island of Möja about 3,5 hours outside of Stockholm. Once there we will continue by bicycle going south along the island. On the way we will pay a visit to a charming art gallery, Skärgårdsgalleriet (www.skargardsgalleriet.se) that specializes in outstanding artwork and handicraft from the area. If we are lucky we’ll also meet the owners (my mother and partner) who are from the island and can let us in on some interesting tales and funny anecdotes from the island.

We plan to visit a few picturesque harbors along the way with their fishing boats and enchanting red boat sheds. There will be time to take some great photos as well as soak in some of the islands special atmosphere. As the tour continues south along a small country road through the island and we will enjoy the wonderful natural surroundings with its untouched shoreline and wild Swedish forests.

Finally we will arrive in the enchanting little fishing village of Berg where we will visit the local church and try a typical Swedish “fika” (coffee with a cinnamon bun). From here we will take the boat back to Stockholm and wind down from a full days of adventure and new experiences.

This tour is a once in a lifetime experience that will stay with you for a long time and I will make sure you’ll enjoy every minute of it! Along the way I will give you information about the area we are passing and let you in on some historical trivia and local traditional tales. Life out on the islands is a world apart from the city life of Stockholm. If you visit Stockholm you haven’t really been there unless you pay a visit to the unique archipelago that surrounds it.

At the end of the trip you will receive a digital photo album of your experience to remind you forever what a wonderful time you had! ;-)

Cost for boat fare and bike rentals is not included in the price.

Stefan was a great tour guide as my husband and I wanted to see the “real” Swedish life in the archipelagos. He was kind enough to meet us at our hotel and extend our tour to see Moja and Vaxholmn in a day. We rode bikes on Moja and was able to meet Stefan’s family and neighbors. He also took some great pictures of us while we toured. Stefan shared the history of Sweden and presented some interesting cultural facts about the country and its people. He was very friendly, funny and accommodating which made our time in Stockholm very special. Thanks Stefan for a memorable day!

We booked a day long excursion into the archipelago that surrounds Stockholm. Our guide, Stefan, has his roots in the island of Möja so was extremely knowledgeable about the way of life there. His expertise and the Raw natural beauty Of the island made this the High Point of our visit to Sweden. I highly recommend doing this.

Stefan's trip is ideal to get out of the city and see the most of the archipelago. The day tour is an ideal mix of sitting on a ferry gazing at the beautiful nature and actively experiencing Möja. This quaint little island gives you an authentic experience of rural living in Sweden surrounded by a stunning landscape far from any tourist hub. We had the pleasure to meet Stefan's mother and Ove who even gave us a ride with their car half way as my mother preferred walking over the bike ride and we had to catch the ferry back. Stefan was eager to show us around and provided us with information throughout the tour. Thanks Stefan for a nice day.

This was a fantastic trip and a day well spent. Stefan is a witty and engaging guide who obviously loves Stockholm, its Archipelago, and Möja in particular. We began, after a brief mixup with the boat's departure time, with a four hour trip through the Archipelago. Stefan pointed out sites of interest, told stories, and gave lots of opportunities to take pictures. The ferry itself is also a resupply ship that make many brief stops, some as short as the time to throw a newspaper onto a dock, as it makes its way to Möja. After landing in Möja we hopped on our waiting bicycles and made our way to Stefan's mother's house. She's lived on Moja for years along with her husband Ove (a man who is like A Man Called Ove but happy and friendly instead of grumpy and bitter). The bike ride is flat and easy and we stopped at several villages along the way to Berg where we visited the Church-That-The-Russians-Did-Not-Burn-Down and had ice cream (Raspberry and Licorice ... yum!) while waiting for the return ferry. We shortened the return trip by stopping halfway and taking the bus back to Slussen. It's a regular bus that was covered by our Stockholm transit pass. My wife and I like to go to places that are off the beaten track and Stefan's trip made this easy and enjoyable.
