Hi! My name is Julia. Born in Russia, I've become a passionate lover of Sweden and everything about and around it. That's why I've spent half of my life studying the Swedish mentality, traditions and history... At the moment I work with various projects, some of which involve teaching Swedish, guiding in Sweden, writing books about Sweden - and that's what I'd like to share with you: my knowledge of all the secrets I've discovered so far. What makes me so different from other guides? Well, here are some examples: - I've written 3 thick travel guides over Sweden, Stockholm and Scandinavia, all of them with tons of fascinating facts - I've been guiding in Sweden since 2000 - I create excursions for travelers from all around the world. - I give lectures about Swedish mentality and customs

  • What you will see and do

Let us combine several wonderful things: we'll take a trip to the capital of Stockholm's archipelago where we'll stroll around the wooden town and then visit the biggest museum in the archipelago: Vaxholm's fortress. You'll learn why no stone houses were allowed here, how it was possible to turn a powerful fortress into a blooming garden and what it was like to be a prisoner here.

We'll drop by an excellent café with a breathtaking view over the water. There, you'll have a possibility to eat something or just take a traditional cup of coffee with a delicious cake.

On our way back, we'll take a tour to see the most interesting stations of Stockholm's subway. You'll learn to "read the stations" and understand why Stockholm's metro is called the world's longest art gallery.

You can get to Vaxholm in two ways, either by boat or by subway and buss. I recommend taking a boat trip there. In this case, we can meet at the quay in Vaxholm. If you want me to follow you from Stockholm, you'll need to pay for my trip, too.
