Hi! My name is Julia. Born in Russia, I've become a passionate lover of Sweden and everything about and around it. That's why I've spent half of my life studying the Swedish mentality, traditions and history... At the moment I work with various projects, some of which involve teaching Swedish, guiding in Sweden, writing books about Sweden - and that's what I'd like to share with you: my knowledge of all the secrets I've discovered so far. What makes me so different from other guides? Well, here are some examples: - I've written 3 thick travel guides over Sweden, Stockholm and Scandinavia, all of them with tons of fascinating facts - I've been guiding in Sweden since 2000 - I create excursions for various travel agencies - I give lectures about Swedish mentality and customs

  • What you will see and do

Been there done that? Have you already been to Stockholm and experienced the must-sees like the narrowest street in the city and the smallest monument there and heard about Stockholm's Bloodbath? Then probably it's time to discover something new.

Why not hear about the oldest ghost in Stockholm, see the oldest city wall, discover the only building with stepped gable, learn about Sweden's first rider monument on a horse or find out the truth behind the small lanes?

    So, what to expect?
    - legends and stories
    - interesting facts
    - hidden places that guides usually don't show
    - mysterious marks on the streets and houses.

The walking tour ends at a café with a typical Swedish fika (coffee with a bun) and, if you want, a talk about everything that interests you (the time spent at a café is NOT included in the walking tour - count on about one hour extra).

If you are a group of 3 or more, please contact me and you can get a discount.

I am a single mom travelling with 3 children 12, 9 and 2. I decided to book a private tour with Julia because a big group wouldn't suit us. Julia was just amazing. She had prepared some interactive sheets for my older girls and told us a lot of interesting stories which we still remember. She was patience and had a lot of knowledge. My little one was just fine coming with us for the 3 hours. Especially my girls really enjoyed this tour and I can highly recommend Julia for adults as well as kids!

Great tour! We only were on a half-day stopover in Stockholm - but Julia showed us so many interesting places in the city, that I am already feeling at home there. Very interesting stories, sights and great fun. Thanks a lot for this tour!

It was a wonderful and very informative tour of Old Stockholm. Julia was a fabulous guide. She was very knowledgeable and and very generous with her time. Not only did we learn about the city but we also learned about the Swedish people and some reasons why they are as they are. I highly recommend the tour with Julia

This was a really fun way to explore and learn more about a part of Stockholm. Julia is a very friendly and knowledgeable guide with lots of fascinating stories about the old town and its history. It's amazing how many links to the past there are hidden in plain sight! I would definitely recommend this experience.
