We want to see every country on this planet... Nearly there! We are from London and I walk past the top sights of London every day and still enjoy seeing them, so I thought: we should show other people these sights!! We have lived in the center of London for over 20 years (right next to the Tower of London). We are both passionate about—and fascinated by—the history and architecture of the city. Our friends and family use us as a human search engine for all things London-related. We are proud to live here, and we really enjoy showing off the city to visitors. Being able to tell people London's facts and figures is great fun.

Explore Westminster's top 20 royal landmarks. After a 3 hour walking tour of royal London, visit Westminster Abbey, which is one of the United Kingdom's most notable religious and royal buildings.

We meet at Green Park Underground station where we will walk through Green Park, one of three Royal Parks in the area., to Buckingham Palace. Where we will watch the world famous changing of the guard ceremony (Only on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays). This tradition has been going on for centuries and the British are the best at displaying pomp and glory. We will then walk up the Royal Mall where we will pass two more Royal Residences (Clarence House & St James Palace) At the top of the Royal Mall we arrive at Admiralty Arch and Trafalgar Sqaure. Lord Nelson, one of the most famous Royal Navy Admirals in British history sits here. He was a firm favorite of the King & Queen during his time. We then walk down Whitehall (the site of another Royal Palace), past Downing St, to Westminster Palace, our last Palace, where we will see the seat of British Democracy that was always at odds with the British Royal Family.

This tour is a gentle stroll through some of the most famous streets in the world. Our guides are full of funny stories and interesting facts that are sure to entertain! Quintessentially British walking tour!

Then, head to Westminster Abbey. Since the coronation of William the Conqueror in 1066, all coronations of English and British monarchs have been in Westminster Abbey. There have been 16 royal weddings at the abbey since 1100. Henry III rebuilt the abbey in honor of a royal saint, Edward the Confessor, whose relics were placed in a shrine in the sanctuary. Henry III himself was interred nearby, as were many of the Plantagenet kings of England, their wives, and other relatives. Until the death of George II in 1760, most kings and queens were buried in the abbey.
