We want to see every country on this planet... Nearly there! We are from London and I walk past the top sights of London every day and still enjoy seeing them, so I thought: we should show other people these sights!! We have lived in the center of London for over 20 years (right next to the Tower of London). We are both passionate about—and fascinated by—the history and architecture of the city. Our friends and family use us as a human search engine for all things London-related. We are proud to live here, and we really enjoy showing off the city to visitors. Being able to tell people London's facts and figures is great fun.

  • What you will see and do

Explore Westminster's top 20 royal landmarks. After a 3 hour walking tour of royal London, enter the Guards Museum, which contains a wealth of artefacts relating to the Queen's Foot Guards (yes the regiments with the funny hats!). Together with the Horse Guards, they form the Queen's Household Division and are responsible for guarding the royal palaces.

We meet at Green Park Underground station where we will walk through Green Park, one of three Royal Parks in the area., to Buckingham Palace. Where we will watch the world famous changing of the guard ceremony (Only on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays). This tradition has been going on for centuries and the British are the best at displaying pomp and glory. We will then walk up the Royal Mall where we will pass two more Royal Residences (Clarence House & St James Palace) At the top of the Royal Mall we arrive at Admiralty Arch and Trafalgar Sqaure. Lord Nelson, one of the most famous Royal Navy Admirals in British history sits here. He was a firm favorite of the King & Queen during his time. We then walk down Whitehall (the site of another Royal Palace), past Downing St, to Westminster Palace, our last Palace, where we will see the seat of British Democracy that was always at odds with the British Royal Family.

This tour is a gentle stroll through some of the most famous streets in the world. Our guides are full of funny stories and interesting facts that are sure to entertain! Quintessentially British walking tour!

After that, enter the Guards museum and be amazed by their history and most importantly, their present role. Many are surprised to find out that they ARE fighting soldiers who also play a ceremonial role!
