What is Triple?

Triple is a service where anyone can earn extra money of their knowledge or passion by hosting activities for travelers. By spending time with someone who lives at the destination, travelers get a deeper cultural experience and something unique to tell their friends about.

What does it mean to be a Host?

Hosting on Triple opens up the world to your passion or knowledge. Create your activity, receive bookings and meet people from around the world. You might even make a friend or two in the process.

What is an activity?

An activity can be something the host is passionate about (for example: An introduction to pottery) or knowledge he or she has collected (for example: Best hidden second hand shops).

How do I create a Triple account?

To create a Triple account, simply click on ‘Login’ in the navigation. You can use your Facebook or Google account to simplify account creation, or use your existing email adress.

Is Triple available everywhere?

You're currently able to host experiences in: Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Bologna, Brussels, Lisbon, London, Madrid, Milan, Paris, Rome, Stockholm and Venice. Get in touch if you want to host activities in your own city.

Booking

How does bookings work?

When you find an activity you like, you make a booking request to the host. The host needs to accept your request within 48 hours for it to become an active booking. No money is charged before the host has accepted the booking.

Is paying through Triple safe?

Paying for activities on Triple is safe and secure. We use Stripe as a third party payment provider. Triple never saves your card credentials or other information regarding your payment option.

What happens if I want to cancel a booking?

If you need to cancel your booking, simply Login and go to ‘Your Bookings’. Click the arrow on the activity you’d like to cancel and click ‘Cancel’. Bookings have cancellation policies and determines if you’re eligible for a refund. Learn more abut Triple’s cancellation policies

How does refunds work?

Triple has three cancellation policies: Flexible, Moderate and Strict. To be eligible for a refund when canceling you need to see what policy is applicable to you in the specific booking. If you are eligible for a refund, the amount will automatically be refunded to the card you paid with within 10 days.

What about insurance?

Most of our experiences are hosted by private individuals and they may not have insurance that covers you if something should happen. Make sure you check that your travel insurance is valid for the experiences you're attending.

Hosting

Can anyone be a host?

Yes. You don’t need any previous experience of hosting experiences or guided tours. All you need is a passion or knowledge that would be interesting for travelers visiting your city. Think about what you would show friends visiting your city.

How do I become a host?

Anyone can be a Host at Triple. Simply go to the host page and click on ‘Host Your Activity’. Create your activity and you will be able to receive bookings within a couple of hours.

Can I set my own schedule & price?

Of course. You choose when to host and how much you’d like to earn. You can easily manage or edit your activities at any time. Triple is made to fit your life and schedule.

Can I host multiple activities?

Yes. There is no limit to how many activities you can host.

How do I get paid?

As you host activities, payment will be made by Triple directly to the bank account that you've registered with us. Make sure you have added your IBAN number to your Triple account, otherwise payment cannot be made.

When do I get paid?

We make the payout 24 hours after the activity is finished. Depending on your bank, it may take a few business days for the payment to appear in your account.

How does reviews work?

After booking and experiencing an activity with you, the traveler is asked to submit a review of what he or she thought of the activity. The review consists of a 5-star rating and a written comment. Having high reviews scores is important in order to earn more bookings and happier travelers.

Can I host an activity in any city?

Hosting is currently limited to London, Paris, Barcelona or Stockholm but more cities will be available within coming months. If you already know that you’d like to be a host in your own city–let us know!

What does it cost to be a host on Triple?

We do not charge any listing fees. It's totaly free to have your activities on Triple. We instead take a 20% commission on bookings. This way we only make money when you do.

Do I need to report my earnings?

By offering your services as a host to the traveler, you earn income. You are responsible for following all applicable laws and tax requirements in your country. Hosts are advised to consult their nearest local tax offices or their tax advisors as to their specific tax consequences.
