Hello everyone, I am Ernest Torquet Fuertes, I was born in Barcelona and I love my city deeply. I have been organizing bike tours in Barcelona for more than 10 years with a real passion for art, architecture and history. Great lover of bicycles, after 20 years of experience in the graphic production sector, I have dedicated myself to this activity of discovering the city. I wanted to combine cultural and sports activities, which was a real success in the capital of Catalonia! My commitment is to share experiences and advice to promote the use of bicycles in Barcelona and make the city cleaner, quieter and more sustainable. The human factor is one of my values and I believe it is my responsibility to meet my objectives with empathy, loyalty and a touch of humor.

  • What you will see and do

We will visit Barceloneta’s neighbourhood, the old fishermen and sailors district, where you can still smell the salt and feel the maritime atmosphere. The beach of Barceloneta is not only one of the most popular and animated beaches during the daytime, but also during nightfall.

We will then keep on pedaling towards the Olympic Port, built for the Olympic Games in 1992. It is perfectly situated with the two Towers and the immense Golden Fish (Frank Gehry). This bike tour takes you past different beaches until we reach the Forum (Universal Cultures Forum). On our way back, we will pass through the neighbourhood of Poblenou, which was the industrial center of Barcelona in the 19th century . Today, present and past coexist in a perfect harmony as we can see in the 22@ technological district. We will also pass through the Olympic Villa, where all of the Olympic athletes stayed in 1992 and we will end up in the beautiful Ciutadella Park.
