    Hi, my name is Arwa and i live in Amsterdam. I currently am studying psychology and teach yoga and meditation. In my free time I love climbing and do stand up comedy at open mics. I love meeting new people from different parts of the world and love showing them around this beautiful city. I have lived in Dubai, India and Boston before coming to Amsterdam. I love going to photography museums, visiting different places to discover good coffee around town and all the different and hip places to grab a bite.     Feel nature's embrace, listen to the breath of the Earth and re-connect to your deeper self by practicing yoga outdoors.

    Many aspects of yoga are about being in the moment and at one with nature and the universe. That is why so many asanas (positions) reflect animals and nature. By putting our body into the shape of a tree or exploring the graceful wingspan of a bird, by breathing like the cycle of tides or the ocean, a sense of harmony, timelessness and connection to the universe is evoked. Yoga is commonly practiced indoors; but when practiced outdoors, it brings union with nature. Breath after breath you feel the inner peace you were missing so long.

    What we will do?
    I will guide you in a 60-minute vinyasa flow practice in the midst of lush greenery and beautiful calming sounds of the river.

    We will start with setting an intention for the practice, then begin with warming up the body with pranayama breathing. This also helps with creating focus during the practice. Then we will be moving into sun salutation A and sun salutation B, integrating core work, while also creating a nice flow and connecting the movement of the body with the life force of breath. We will then move into the floor series with spine and pelvic floor strengthening poses - including backbends, forward bends, spinal twists, hip openers - and finally ending with savasana where you will have time to soak up the practice and relax your muscles.

    If the weather permits, we can have a small dip in the water.
    We will end with tea which I will prepare and bring with me.

    Pls, bring your mats and swim trunks or a bikini just in case.
